I just purchased a 2008 Accord Coupe V6 w/navi 6 speed. Red w tan leather. A dealership in Austin, TX (Howdy Honda) ran three coupes through an the Manheim Auction in San Antonio, TX. The two automatics got bids for $23,300 each and the one I bought went for $26,400. It had 2600 miles on the odometer. I don't think these are movong as well as they had hoped. I bet I could have bought for less from the dealer.

my friend told me that his uncle that used to work at a Honda dealership said the new cars they have at the lot are all leased from the manufacturer. Therefore the dealership are more likely to give u discounts on a car that just came in as to a car that has been on a lot for 2 months.

I want to know if anyone knows about this? if this is true or not?

Not sure but there seems to be some decent deals on what is left of the 2008 stock. I went out to a Honda dealer out in Arlington TX and they had a 2009 FIT well the price on it sure has gone up. They wanted over 21K for a sport with auto trans and nav.

ahhh. i'm looking for an Accord LX-S coupe manual. Evertime i go to a dealership, they tell me "this is the only coupe manual around" and they act like assholes.

Wbb1211 how much was your Accord, what engine, and what trim level was it?

I was at 2 different dealers here in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The dealer in Arlington web site claimed they had a 2009 TW Accord EXL V6 MT just like my 2008. Well I didn't see it there, so it was either never there or it sold fast and they didn't update their database yet. I had the same issue with my car. It was the only standard around let alone it was a V6. My didn't have the NAVI which is cool needless to say but not something I would use much. The dealers seem to put on some cheap things then charge a lot for them. Wheel locks just to mention one they charge 299.00 well they are easy to put on and I don't even think they cost 50.00. So with that said I think my MSRP was like $28,900 they wanted over $32,000 for it. I just held my ground and said being active duty military I should be able to purchase any vehicle here for no more than MSRP. I didn't care what they did and or what they thought it was worth to the car. They also tried to cheat me on my 06 Civic SI on trade in. I made them pay it off they didn't even want to do that. In 2006 they wanted way over MSRP on the SI's as well. I was not going to do that again. Told them to suck it up and pay it off. So they did. You can get a much better deal on a 4 door.

Possibly I don't know how many Honda is put out this year. I seen something that sated that for the 08's they only produced 1000 out of 40,000. but I think that was just for the V6 Coupe with M/T. I don't think they produced to many more of the I4 with a M/T either. I would try to work something out online.
