I actually have an 07 civic coupe lx a/t right now and am considering upgrading to an i4 accord coupe when my lease is up. How much faster is the accord compared to the R18 civics? I love the styling and it still gets good gas mileage. i would consider an Si but i can't drive stick as of now.... im gonna try to learn in my dads cavalier. but the premium gas is a killer..... opinions?
p.s. sorry for jacking ur thread i just thought it would be a good question to ask since u all seem to know what ur talking about. i would go and test drive an accord myself but im away at school and there is no honda dealers in the area and i am without car....

The civic is a good car. There are 2 different I4 engines. will make a difference on which one you get. Price and drive and see if it is worth the money or not. I like both cars.

i have to say that i loooooove my civic. its light, nimble, handles great, and it peppy on the get go (despite everyone else's criticism). I also like smaller cars as opposed to bigger. The accord coupe is 16 inches longer than my coupe now is. thats alot for me to get used to. I just love the styling of the accords. Of course if honda comes out with something smaller and better looking than the civic, ill just get that. lol. i will definitely test drive the accords when i get home. can't wait. thanks.

I have a Accord Coupe 4 Cyl (190HP) 5 Spd Manual. I've also driven a 2007 Civic SI. The 4cyl Accord coupe isn't so impressive at low rpm's, but it pulls damn hard at the top. The main differences i notice between my car and the SI is that the SI is louder, smaller, and the takeoff feels a little quicker. However, the accord coupe gets slightly better mileage, is larger and i would assume safer, the insurance on the accord is cheaper, and it looks way sexier. 8th Generation Accord Coupes ftw.

I don't think the Accord requires premium either. Mine has the V6 and I know it don't.
