it's not that i won or anything like that... and there's no need to race anyone unless it's on the track...

theoretically the Si would be faster b/c it has a better distribution of power... it's basically even the whole way... unlike the TC which has those peaks at lower rpms...

it's always unfair to compare a I4 vs V6 but there's always comparisons with the Si vs boosted cars and even some V8's... so an Accord would fit in the same category as the Si...

u have to remember the I4 Accord wasn't built for performance like the Si was... the Si has more aggressive cams and higher comp pistons etc... giving it a response system way better than the Accord...

Whats the weight difference between the two? I think a modded Si would win hands down every time, however a supercharged V6 Accord really would be a sweet ride!

well If I was you I go with the Si. Its a great car and really fun to drive. the only down side to it, it going to cost you more money for fuel since the Si need super unleaded gas. if that matters to you
by the way I own a 07 si coupe and I do also have 08 I4 coupe. and to me the Si from stock wins hands down !!!!

Performance wise, the SI is much faster than the 190hp 4 banger accord.

The weight alone gives the SI an extreme advantage. Also the SI puts more power to the ground, and its gear ratios as spaced a lot closer, which increase acceleration and top speed.

That being said, buy the car that you like. The SI is nothing to sneeze at, but its not exactly winning trophies or setting land speed records.

The two cars are totally different. If you want an edgy, younger performance/trackish feel, get the SI. If you want something sporty, but comfortable and less in your face, get the Accord.

And if you want to smoke both of them, while leaning back driving with one hand and drinking a coke in the other, buy a V6 Accord, put coilovers on it, get a short throw shift kit, intake, tanabe exhaust, twin turbo, front mount intercooler, racing clutch, 18 inch wheels.

Ok so you'll have to wait 3-5 years for all that stuff to be available, but when it is, you'll be pimping it!!!!

I just bought a Si and v6 accord ex-l auto. Very different cars as you can imagine. The si would beat the doors off the 4 cy accord. And i would say almost even againts the auto v6. I will have race them againts each other and see. The accord is more luxury and smooth ride. Si is more of a fun high reving car.

I agree, I have the 08 accord coupe with the V6 and 6 speed MT. I think the si puts the power to the ground better. I think my Accord for the most part is faster, smoother, and more comfortable. I guess you could say it has speed but don't have the race car feeling of the si.
