What would you guys do?

This is still on going but I just want to see what you guys would do.

I bought my Accord on a Sunday and noticed a crack on the top of the air intake box (the lid) on Monday night, roughly 200 miles at that moment.

First thing in my mind was...I've been driving for 200 miles with the engine taking in unfiltered air. The car is fine and it was repaired on Tuesday morning. I'm really concerned about what went into the engine and what will happen later down the line.

Is it reasonable to go after Honda and/or dealer asking for a complimentary extension of the powertrain warranty?

Thanks.

sorry, but I don't think so, unless you have some physical evidence of damage. it is most probable that nothing happened.
these cars are very durable. if something did happen, you probably would have recvd a CEL, as the computer would have detected something was amiss.

good luck w/your NEW CAR!
