Recalls, TSB's and Common Problems With The 2008 Accord

Here are some links to common problems associated with the 8thgen Accords. If you would like to add something (a recall, TSB or general problem) please post it AND PM me and I will add it to the list. This list is only for problems that seem to be common and just because it does not show here, does not mean there is not a thread about it. So please search if you can't find what you are looking for. If you still do can not find your problem, start a thread, thanks!

I was informed about some paint chipping under the rear tail lights on the coupes. Its actually not visible until you move the bumper. I would recommend slightly pushing the bumper down towards the floor and checking to see if you have this problem, so you can get it fixed.

This likely isn't a problem with the paint, but rather a problem with how the lot porters and/or mechanics remove the protective film from the car during the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). In fact, my rear bumper cover was painted a week after I had it due to this very issue. The paint was obviously and very badly "zippered" right where the taillight meets the bumper.

Now, I realize that paint chipping underneath isn't EXACTLY the same as this, but I bet its cause is the same.

Can't get the link right now, but I know there's a TSB out for the '08 Accord Coupes concerning the 6-speed manuals and third gear. Same issue as on the Civic Si's and Acura RSX Type-S

yea it is on 8th civic board. I printed it but didn't save it. I would like to know if anyone has talked to their dealer about it and what they had to say about it. I have not had the chance to talk to them about it yet. I had to go out of my way quite a bit to get my car.
