Knocking sound when changing gears

I have a 4 cylinder coupe and recently I've heard a knocking sound when going from 2nd to 3rd after I release the clutch. I'm revving at around 3300 rpm and the sound seems to be coming from below my pedals. Anyone experience this at all? I"m at 12,000km's and the dealership told me that unless i can replicate the sound for them, they can't diagnose it. It happens rarely; 3 times in the past week. Please share your thoughts.
