Accord Lighting-System

Official news as always bc u know how crazy i am about headlights and lighting in general
These are the specs for the lighting-system in the accord:
1)Accord Coupe V6 will get 9006 halogen projector headlights
2)Accord Sedan V6 and I4 will get 9006 reflective based headlights.

No HID's for them

its a nice ride. Honda has made lots of improvements with handling by adding a variable gear ratio steering which improves handling at speed yet allows easier parking unlike variable power steering boosting. More horsepower than before in 4 or 6 cyl. There are four engines now. 177 hp and 190 hp 4cyl, 268 hp 248 ft/lb torque v6 with cylinder deactivation for better MPG and the same hp/trq engine without cylinder deactivation (only for the 6 speed manual trans.) The car is now classed as a large car as it will directly compete size wise to the maxima and the avalon, however, the main comparative is the camry and altima. The navigation if equipped is straight from the acura RL and bluetooth is with navi units only, for now. There is more leg and side bolstering in the front seats and it really does a good job holding you in place. They are firm and supportive and not buick or camry like in feel (soft seats hurt my back). The leather models have a very buttery like feel when moving your hand across the seat material and feels very high class. The suspension is still 4 wheel independent which will give you spirited driving characteristics yet very comfortable when cruising. Official pricing will arrive in about two weeks.
headlights are 9006 projectors in the coupe, sedan gets reflectors.

yea, I think most saw this coming to some degree. Honda is saving the HID lights for the Acura Brand. At least the Halogen Projector lights could possibly be modded with a retrofit without a major problem

because optics play a role. Just because you have a projector doesn't mean it will handle HIDs. Otherwise, Acura would've used the 04-06 mdx halogen projectors, put them on the tsx/tl , add ballasts, bulbs and fire them up for cost-reduction lighting.
HID projectors will cost more bc they are true HID optics supporting projectors.
