The V6 with the 6speed gets the worst MPG. I am getting between 21 and 22 hard city driving. It does not have the VCM like the auto's. It sort of reminds me of my old mid 80's mustang and is nothing like the 06 SI I traded in. I like the ride much better I don't feel like I am sitting on the road. The SI IMO was a good little car I had a blast with it and I never had any problems with it. I just got tired of driving it every day.

I have the 4cyl 190HP sedan and I am satisfied with it. If it was manual I would be much happier as it has better city fuel economy (just 1mpg) and better performance (0.4sec faster than the Automatic). Of course the resale value of the manual would be lower and it would be a little bit harder to sell (here in Houston 99.9% of the cars are automatics).
Overall, my guess is that the 4 cyl 190HP coupe with the manual transmission would be a reasonably nibble car to drive and a real challenge over the V6. |
