New from the NorthWest

Forgive me, I'm posting from my BB 8100.

I'm a girl, I go to college, I'm 21, I work at a car dealership, I love Honda's. I think auto's suck, and would only buy one if I had a physical disability that meant I couldn't drive a manual.

I own a 2003 Accord in Sapphire Blue Pearl EX V6 6MT with Navi. (CM81)
My daily driver is a red 1992 Geo Metro LSi convertible purchased brand new.

Well, I'm going to sleep now.

Haha.

My mom has a 2006 Civic sedan EX 5MT with Navi in Taffeta White.

My dad has a 1997 Black Currant Pearl Odyssey EX. A 1986 Goldwing Aspencade Se-i in gold/cream. And a 1975 black Ford Ranger F-150 Super Cab with 8 ft bed & about 60k miles. He wants a red Ridgeline RTL with Navi and moonroof to replace the van and truck with.

Past Honda's: 1st gen Civic manual transmission. 1st gen Accord manual transmission. 1982 cream Accord sedan 5MT. 1990 Hampshire Green Metallic Accord sedan EX 5MT. 2002 Nighthawk Black Pearl Accord sedan Special Edition with gold package 4AT.

A few other Honda motorcycles. And my grandmother owns a 2002 Taffeta White Accord sedan LX 4AT. (Her hip/knee couldn't take dealing with the clutch pedal anymore)

Hey Amanda!

It's Accordlover (Tyler) from DA.

Nice to see you round these parts! - Are you also considering the new Accord?

Haha, hey Tyler. You're such a post whore. . I'm not really considering the new Accord. By the time I'm ready, and looking at a new car, I'll want a sedan cuz I'll probably be working on starting a family. If they bring back the V6 6MT sedan, then I'll consider one. I don't plan on owning an auto unless I can no longer physically push the clutch pedal.

Guilty as charged!

Sedan eh!? Maybe you need a 6spd TL or TSX for those future Mommy duties!

TSX would take premium, and is smaller. TL Type-S is the only way to get the 6MT, it also takes premium, and it costs a lot more.

I'm several years away from that, hopefully they'll bring the 6MT back by then.

My Mom ran her TSX on regular most of the time. It didn't seem to effect it really, although I wouldn't recommend it at high altitudes.

they say the engine will retard the timing to help prevent engine knock. Although running 87 may work, you also reduce hp, and reduce the actual mpg vs premium
