Did you get a good deal on your Honda Accord?

This site lets you submit the MSRP and price you paid for your Honda, then it calculates how well you did compared to Accord buyers from around the country. It gives you a grade from A+ to Fail. try it and see how well you did. Post the results here afterwards

I got an F. 24 out of 24. I paid MSRP with some dealer options included that I refused to pay for to include: window tint, wheel locks, splash guards, rear bumper guard, and trunk linner.

I got an A. 3rd place. I knew I got a good deal at 21.4k out the door for an lx-p auto.

A "good deal" is all perception, not price. No one buys a car until they feel that it's a "good deal", otherwise they wouldn't buy it. That's what the salesman's job is: to get to the point where it's a "good deal" for the customer as well as the dealership.

Most people put too much emphasis on the dollar amount, when there's a lot more factors that go into purchasing a vehicle (or anything for that matter).

wbb1211 up there paid MSRP for his/her Accord. Personally I say good for him! The car is worth every penny of the MSRP--it deserves to be bought at that price.

There's no shame in paying sticker price. But I certainly wouldn't suggest paying a dime over for anything extra the dealership adds to the car. Those extras are usually exponentially more expensive on the lot than they are if you were to buy them separately online or even at the parts counter at the SAME dealership. I've seen some addendum stickers where tint was charged at $500--complete thievery.

I hear you not as easy to make a deal on a car when it is the only one with in a 100 or more miles. It was the only one with a 6 speed in all of the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Could of got a much better deal on a automatic, I-4 engine, or 4 door since they were a lot more of them. I wanted the V6 and 6 speed so I had to give a little more but didn't give over MSRP. I think honda only put out 1000 out of 40,000 accords with the 6 speed.
