Licence plate holes
I recently tried to remove my front licence plate only to quickyly put it back on.
I found that there's a screw that goes directly into the front bumper. Does anyone know of a plug or DIY kit to cover the hole or just any ideas about it? Thanks |

Some 8th Gen Civics have had this same problem. I don't believe there should be a hole drilled in your bumper. You could talk with the dealership, but I doubt they'll do anything. It's a bummer they drilled in your bumper.
As far as solutions, here are a couple. Good luck! DIY Bumper Plugs for .38 cents @Home Depot - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum BumperPlugs.com |

Thanks!
That looks like a good quick fix. So mad that the dealership drilled the licence plate holder in that way. It sucks. Thanks for the advice though! |

I would raise absolute holy HELL with that dealership until they replaced my bumper cover. That crap is UNNECESSARY (I don't care what BS line they give you) and so uncalled for.
Do it. Don't let 'em screw you over with that. |

Wow, I'm going to have to check my car. I am curious to see if they just simply drilled through the bumper. The dealership I went through left a wheel locking nut on just the right rear wheel. They didn't have a key anywhere and so they had to burn it off. I am willing to bet they also drilled through my bumper to put on a license plate frame (Here in NY, you have to have a front plate....sucks!)
