Hey, what's your guys take on radar detectors? I've been reading reviews but see if anyone had advice.

I heard that the laser speedometers are practically not detectable regardless what manufacturers claim

Valentine Ones are very popular and work wonders. If you wanna fight the laser fight your gonna need a Lidatek LE-30. That paired with a V1 and your invincible!!!

I have had a belltronics for years now. I upgraded to the RX65 a while back. Seems to work good. I don't have any tickets. The laser alert goes off around all the airports and have picked up a few police officers with laser as well. Smart driving also helps out.

Some times in the Dallas/Fort Worth area if you don't go fast enough it will be hard to merg or you a get ran off the road or blocked out. I like to have it so If it goes of to double check my speed.

Amen. The only time I get pulled over for speeding is when I wasn't actually meaning to and not paying attention to the speedometer. I never get caught when I'm flooring it on purpose.

Go figure.

i have a a cordless escort which works pretty good

Before I joined the law enforcement team, I had the Escort 8500 and later the upgraded 8500 x50. Worked great for 4 years. Never received a single ticket during that time. The 8500 would alert me sometimes a whole minute in advance before I saw any police cruiser.

I prefer it over the Valentine 1 that my bestfriend had.

As for laser. If the laser alert goes off, you're screwed. That means the laser is pointing at you and noone else. God help you fight that one.
