To Nav, Or Not To Nav. That is the Q!
I love technology! Who doesn't?
But, when I think about spending an additional 10%, or thereabouts, for a nav system, I get a giant doubtful feeling in my stomach! More stuff to go wrong...spending more money than I have to...something that I probably won't use... I can almost hear my parents telling me to save that money for something that I really need. At the same time... better resale value...the world's greatest Nav system...and that really cool blue-tooth cell phone feature (that every car should come with as standard equipment by now, anyways!!!)... So, what to do? One part of me says...I rarely, if ever, travel by car to a place that I don't know where it is...at the same time....if I did, it would be nice to be able to find it without having to drive around looking for it randomly, let alone ask for directions! Can anyone help me? There must be some really good arguments for getting nav, that will satisfy my economic instincts! I am lost in a technological quandry..... ![]() |

There's really never a good answer to this question. There are so many pros and cons that at the end of the day, they both equal each other out. I have the OEM Navi in my '06 Civic and I can't imagine life without it. I definitely don't use it every day, but it's very handy in a pinch. The interface is top notch, and I hear the new Accord's Navi is even easier to use. If you're seriously looking to get one of the new Accords, I'd test drive one with and one without the Navi. Just get a feel for what each offers, and then take a few days to decide which would be better for you.

i have it and I love it. I started to get a v6 without nav ,but changed my mind when i saw I could get a 4cyl with leather and nav for 17 bucks more a month. I have no regrets and it's nice to know where you are at all times. It feel good to say " hey let's take this way home" and be able to see before hand where it will take you.

I got the 4-cyl EX-L w/ navi . I'd rather have the navi features over the v6. This is a car Im finding myself just cruising anyway. If I wanted to go fast I would've chosen something else. my .02

It's really just all in what the customer wants. I personally like the navi, but I completely understand that it's not necessary. So, what color did you get, Wabb_it? |

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the 4 cyl. It was cheaper, plus you'll save money on gas. Nothing wrong with that. Plus, it's always good to hear of younger people being responsible. Good job!
