Is it possible to upgrade the onboard computer?
Hi,
I have an EX-L 4cyl, without the Nav system. The one thing I wish they had that my old Toyota had was stuff like Average miles per gallon, miles to empty, etc. Does anyone know if there is any way to get this functionality? Thanks Allen Worcester MA |

I'm sure if you've got programming savvy and don't mind tearing apart your navi and computer, you could probably figure it out. Otherwise, there are other options like the Scan Gauge. It isn't as pretty as an integrated system, but it gets the job done.

I have a ScanGuage that I transfered from my '06 Civic. I have it mounted on the left side of the dash right above the driver's air vent. The cable then runs down the dash by the door and is well out of sight. After a bit of adjusting, you will enjoy seeing your average MPG and other readouts.
