Drive by wire
I had an Acura RDX before my exl 4cly, and what got me better mileage with the Acura(which has 4 cly with turbo) is when you reach crusing speed, just let off the gas just a bit once in awlile. The accord has a drive by wire system-no hard link between the gas petal and engine. So when u let off a bit the sensor emits less gas .Also slower starts & longer stops.

New accord--less than 150 miles when I left for highway trip. Covered 228.3 miles with 7.0 gallons for 32.6mpg. Stayed at +/- speed limit of 65mph. Spots when the roadway dropped to 55 as we passed through urban areas. 50% of the trip was in hilly terrain the remainder on largely flat terrain. Auto with 177hp 2.4 liter 4 cylinder. Tires inflated to 36psi vs. honda recommended 30psi for the LX-P 4 cylinder.
