Body Side Molding

Has anyone installed or is considering body side molding? I know it takes away from looks , but all my past cars had it, and they definitly prevented many dings.

I have it on my sedan, and I personally think it ADDS to the looks. Although the 8th gen Accord looks great, I think the side moldings are a necessary addition to not only guard against dings, but to break up the flat sides. With that much sheetmetal, dings are going to stand out like crazy and be expensive to repair. I paid about $154 for my moldings and installed them myself. You'd pay probably at LEAST that much to have a ding taken out.

I agree, I like the look, I have them on my coupe and it does break up the big panel look plus the right side has a little nick in it that I can feel but not see so one door ding has been prevented so far.

Yes, in the past, Honda's accessory body-side molding always looked like an obvious add-on, and it was difficult to install without any waviness. With the 8th gen Accord, you'd never know they were aftermarket.
