OEM Fog Light
Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Sorry if it's not right.
Just want to know if anyone has done the installation of the OEM Foglights on the car. I'm gonna install mine this weekend, maybe there are some tips and tricks that would be helpful. Thanks in advance. |

Hey Sparky, take a look at the College Hills Honda Web site. Those guys are pretty handy when it comes to installing OEM stuff on your car. They should have an instruction sheet, and they might even have a video tutorial.

Finished with the install yesterday, took about 2 1/2 hours but it went fairly smoothly. All the wirings are done so that made it a lot easier. Cutting and drilling the bumper wasn't as bad as I thought. Anyone thinking about doing this should definitely give it a try.
The only think I'm not very satisfied is the H11 bulb, other than that I love the way it looks. Thanks CameronJr9, I looked but they didn't have it. |

didn't take long till my passenger side fog light got taken out by a rock. Wish there was some way to prevent it. If you try to get a oem replacement it cost more than to order the complete kit to install yourself. Any idea it there is a difference between the ones they put in at the factory and the accessory you order from honda to add yourself?

yea i'm kinda worry about rocks/debris on the road. I think i'm gonna get rock blocker and see if i can somehow apply it to the fog lights.
based on the looks i think the ones i put in myself is the same from the factory. you can't really tell that i added my own foglights, it looked stock, not because of my installation but because of the design. the bulb is kinda weak and i wish they use a different bulb than H11. Quote:

Rock blocker is like a thick 3M adhesive, it will withstand most small rocks and maybe even prevent a crack. Here's the Website. Maybe you can find something similar on ebay since rock blocker don't currently have one for Accord fogs.
I'll let you know what I did when i get around to it. |

I couldn't find anything similar on ebay so I just emailed RockBlocker if they will have a foglight kit soon or if I can just buy the raw material and just apply it myself. I'm thinking it's similar to the bumper protector but less thick.

Ok keep me updated if you don't mind. My factory installed foglight got busted out on my civic si as well. So I don't want to replace untill I can find a way to protect them so they will last. They cost to much to replace every 6 months.
