Cleaning Inside Glass
My ride is a nighthawk black '08 Accord EX-L V6 A/T
I've tried a few products but nothing satisfies me. I seem to leave hazy streaks on the glass. What product do you recommend and how to use? The most difficult task is cleaning the inside surface of the rear glass. How does everyone do it? Does someone have a neat trick or device to reach the sloped surfaces? 2 great glass cleaners
1 Invisable Glass from Stoner .... BTW, everything Stoner makes is great, there Tire Shine is the best 2 Sprayway glass cleaner, works great too. Towels, buy the cheapest paper towels you can find. Most name brand soft paper towels use chemicals and oils to make the paper soft, they streak the glass, cheap no dye towels are just paper, less likly to leave streaks. Or use Micro Fiber towels from the 20 packs they sell at Sams club, they work well too. That back window in a coupe is a PITA to clean, mine seems to haze up every few weeks. |

Since I posted my dilema about cleaning the inside front and rear glass, I've picked up a few pointers from the various website on this subject.
1. Use only micro fiber cloth that have never been used other than the inside glass. No matter how good they are washed, they will remaing "contaminated" and will cause streaks and haze. 2. Do not use Home Paper Towels. Most of them are "treated" and does not help getting the glass cleaned. 3. Auto Zone have this gizmo. costs about 10 bucks. It has an extendable handle and and have an oval shaped pad with a foam pad on it. It came with a brush looking micro fiber head which I got rid of and wrapped my new microber cloth around it. I used Eagle One Clear Nano wax spray-and-wipe on the glass. (great for interior leather, dash, painted surface waxing, chrome and glass). For the rear window inside glass, I folded the rear seat on my coupe down, layed on it with my legs in the trunk and used the gizmo. Worked out great! |

Yea i actually saw that gizmo and thought about buying it...but i have always cleaned my windows the same way and never really had a streak problem....Any commercial FOAM window cleaner with no ammonia so it doesn't fade the tint and my "cloth" of choice is the Washington Post...thats right I always use newspaper to clean my windows and as long a you use a new sheet per window you should never streak
