Above the Glove Compartment

Hello everybody. First post.

I took my '08 Accord Coupe to the dealership to have the i-Linc installed last week. This morning I noticed a small scratch on the silver panel on top of the glove compartment box. It is a really small scratch and I will post two pictures (one zoomed and one beside my remote so you know how big it is).

I would like to know if it is something I can fix myself - considering it is not a major scratch.

If I take it back to the dealer, what is he going to do? Can anyone venture a guess as to how much I will get charged? Are those covered in the warranty?

Can they simply turn their backs and say they can't fix that? Im pretty sure they scratched it but I have no way to prove...

oh well... I will take it there sometime this week. Just thought I would post here to know if it will be an expensive fix (in which case I will wait another week or so).

PS. This forum is for people who truly care for their rides. I am confident nobody will say "it is nothing, no need to repair that".

You can always take it back to the dealer and mention that you know it was from their installation. That doesn't mean they will do anything about it. Good luck!

You could try to use some of the products that are to remove scratches for paint or I do have one that is for plastic. I have used them on headlight covers and did a good job. Just have to test in a area you can't see to make sure it don't mess up the appearance of the finish.

I had something similar on the silver garnish except on the driver side. Dealer wouldn't cover under warranty. It was such an eye sore and I ended up purchasing the part myself from the dealership part store. It was under $30.
