Hey I noted this quirk about my EX 4cyl shortly after getting the car. Whenever the AC compressor cycles on the headlights dim momentarily. Now I'm used to seeing this on most cars when idling due to low speed of the alternator. But not when cruising down the road. I took to car to the dealer and they told me it was "normal".
While cruising Edmonds forums I noted several post griping about the same issue.
There may be a really good technical explanation for this like the electrical system not "floating the battery" all the time and only charging it when decelerating, using regenerative power to charge it. This is used on other makers cars and saves a few percent on fuel consumption. I just don't know if this consistent with this type of system.
I just hope I'm not smelling male bovine excrement from dealer.
Has anyone else noted this issue on their 8G.
Paul
