I went from an 06 SI to the 4cyl Accord coupe. I love the ride and the smoothness, not mention it's a lot more quiet than the SI! The power from the Accord 4 is fine for everyday driving and if you need a little more you can shift through the gears. The Accord is more of a cruising car than all out auto-crossing, high output sport compact like the SI. Just don't get into it thinking you're going to have the same response and handling (you won't). I would do things in my SI that I'm still afraid of in my Accord. I sometimes miss the quickness of my SI but it's a different kind of car.
Just my opinion of course.
